"Take your shot when you can get it"
Flyway Fowling Guide Service was established with over 25 years of hunting experience. My goal is to lead you on a safe, ethical and enjoyable hunting experience that will prove to be memorable. I feel that the best way to achieve this is to concentrate 100% on your hunt. With that in mind, my clients to do all the shooting. I promise to provide you with the best hunt I can deliver.

Hunting
Area
The Upper Mississippi Wildlife and Fish Refuge (pools 9, 10 and 11) is the longest refuge in the lower 48 states. It extends 261 miles along the Mississippi River from the Chippewa River in Wisconsin nearly to Rock Island, Illinois. It encompasses approximately 194,000 acres. Construction of locks and dams in the 1930's transformed the Mississippi River into a series of shallow reservoirs or navigation pools. This created the Midwest's premier bottomland habitat and migratory route. This area of the Upper Mississippi River is named one of the Top 10 Diver Hunting Destinations according to the 2003 Ducks Unlimited book - A Ducks Unlimited Guide to Hunting Diving and Sea Ducks. In addition, Wildfowl Magazine awarded this area a TOP 10 Diver Hunting Site. See Hunting Map for more details and the ducks we hunt.
In 2008, my clients harvested 19 different species of ducks. See the newsletter for details.

Services Provided
Hunts are conducted from a roomy 20 foot custom designed duck boat. It is equipped with heaters, comfortable seating, and mounted gun rests for safety. The latest waterfowl techniques are used along with up to 150+ magnum decoys. A piping hot breakfast (referred to by clients as "The Big Breakfast") is served on the boat along with coffee and other beverages. Various snacks are also provided. Generally all hunts will end at 1:00 p.m. daily.
