Certification and Safety

Your guide, Captain Todd Lensing, has over 40 years of duck hunting experience. He is a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Master Captain. Captain Lensing holds a Wisconsin Guide License, has training in hunter safety, CPR, and is a National Registry First Responder as well as a volunteer fire fighter. In addition, Todd has fulfilled all stringent requirement set forth by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in order to guide on the Upper Mississippi Wildlife and Fish Refuge.

Captain Todd has written occasional articles for On Wisconsin Outdoors as one of the Dick Ellis experts. In addition Todd has been fortunate to have had several outdoor writers on board and has been featured in the following newspaper and magazines: Wisconsin Outdoor News, Wisconsin Sportsmen's Digest, Wisconsin Outdoor Journal, Badger Sportsman, Real Tree Outdoors waterfowl special, and Wildfowl.Captain Todd has also had the honor to be featured on the TV show Northland Adventures with Dave Carlson.

Flyway Fowling Guide Service, LLC was established in 2002 specializing in diver and puddle duck hunting on the Mississippi River. Todd and his wife Donna also own and operate the Grandview Motel, LLC which overlooks the mighty Mississippi in Ferryville, Wisconsin, along with 6 additional vacation rental properties. Bayview House, Shoreview Cottage, Riverview Cabin, Vistaview Chalet, Woodview Lodge, and Eagleview Nest.
